Prague to Vienna/Vienna to Budapest

Ok.This personalized private car transfer service is AMAZING. We had David and Mark and they were both incredibly helpful, warm, personable tour guides AND accomplished drivers. I would use this service again in a heartbeat.

An Excellent Alternative to Travelling Between Cities

We initially planned on travelling between cities via train but fortunately found the Daytrip alternative on the Web..Our group of 13 peeps took 3 separate shuttles, therefore I will try to provide comments for all of the trips in this review. The planning & communication was excellent as a rep from Daytrips answered my email inquires promptly. You can prepay the trips by credit card or pay by cash after each trip. Because our group was large, Daytrips arranged two vans for transport. Prague to Saltsburg: Michal & Andrej were our drivers. Daytrips sent me email reminders a few days before each leg with driver names & phone#'s for contact purposes. Both drivers showed up at our hotel early & we were able to leave on time. The vans were new, comfortable & clean. Daytrips provide you with the option of stopping off to visit various sites & attractions (additional costs) enroute to destination. We chose a couple of attractions in each of the 3 legs. The drivers were courteous, professional, and flexible with stops along the way. Salzburg to Vienna; Michal & Abdel were the drivers & it was nice to have Michal again, they were both early & on time It's interesting to converse with both drivers as they are quite informative about the country environment, and their background. We found out that Daytrips goes through a screening & interview process in selecting their drivers. Vehicles must be driver-owned & < then 5 years old. Vienna to Budapest: Szabolcs & Ferenc (drivers), both lived in Budapest & had to drive to Vienna early in the AM to pick us up. One of the drivers was late, owned what seemed an older van & wasn't too prepared or professional. In summary, I highly recommend Daytrips to travelers as an alternative to taking trains which take longer, are 2x more expensive & do not have door to door pick-up & drop off. We also enjoyed the flexible sightseeing stops at the various sites & locations which provide intervals in the journey. Driver Michal provided bottled water which was deeply appreciated & I recommend that Daytrip incorporate this gesture in all of the shuttles.

Three Trips in Europe

We used Daytrip for our transportation needs when traveling from Zagreb to Budapest, Budapest to Vienna and Vienna and Prague. Our driver's were great, they were on time, professional and provided us with local information as we traveled. We used Daytrip so we wouldn't have to deal with getting to a bus/train station with our luggage. Easy to book online. I would highly recommend Daytrip.

The Daytrip driver advantage

Daytrip driver
  • Local knowledge about the route from Vienna to Budapest
    Including available sights
  • English speaking

All our drivers speak English as well as their native language (and sometimes additional languages too!). They're happy to discuss local history and culture with you, and answer any questions you may have. And because they speak the local language, they're able to provide you with a unique opportunity to connect with natives.

  • Safety first!

We screen all our drivers for criminal and traffic records, and personally interview each one. We also inspect their cars for safety, comfort, and reliability. All cars must be less than ten years old, in excellent operating condition, and insured as required by local law. And because our drivers are locals, they're familiar with the rules and customs of the road.
