The earliest train is at 8:23 AM, and the last train is at 5:23 PM, with trains departing every 2 to 3 hours. The train from Lisbon to Lagos is operated by Comboios de Portugal, with train tickets from Lisbon and Lagos costing €30 for 2nd class and €44 for first class for the 3h 45 min to 5 hour trip. The distance from Lagos to Lisbon is about 301 kilometers.Trains have bathrooms on board, and usually offer a dining car.

Lisbon to Lagos by bus

To travel from Lisbon to Lagos n by bus, travelers can catch the bus from either Lisboa Oriente or Gare Rodoviaria Sete Rios, and get off at Terminal Rodoviario in Lagos, depending which bus company you book with. While you can buy your ticket at the station, it’s best to purchase them in advance. The earliest bus is at 1:00 AM, and the last bus is at 9:30 PM. There are about 2 busses leaving every hour after 8 AM. The bus from Lisbon to Lagos is run by Rede expressos, EVA Mundial Turismo, RENEX, with bus tickets from Lagos to Lisbon costing between €19-€21 for the 4-5 hour trip. The distance from Lisbon to Lagos is about 300 kilometers.All options offer direct service from Lagos to Lisbon.

Lisbon to Lagos by flight

To travel by plane, you need to get to Lisbon Airport (LIS). As usual with flights, you’ll want to buy your tickets in advance. For travelling such a short distance, only direct flights make sense. The plane tickets cost around €68 - €73 for the 45 minute flight from Lisbon to Faro, but you’ll need to travel from Faro Airport to Lagos afterwards (about 1 hour drive). It’s recommended to arrive at the airport 2 hours before the flight, so with the extra hour of driving to Lagos, flying is one of the slowest options. There are also only 2 flights per day, so the departure times are limited.
