Whatcom Falls ParkWhat Streams May Come
Covering 241-acres (0.98 km2), Whatcom Falls Park is how residents of Bellingham, Washington, get their dose of nature. Just a short, 15-minute walk through the forest brings you to an elegant stone bridge built in 1940 and the park’s beautiful namesake falls. But there’s a lot more to find on the pleasant walking trails. Working your way through the forest, you’ll stumble upon a state trout hatchery, 100-year-old railroad trestle spanning Whatcom Creek, or the smaller “Whirlpool Falls” and swimming hole.
