Discover a hidden (and colorful) gem of Jujuy.
The Paleta del Pintor (“The Painter’s Palette”) is a colorful rock formation that surrounds the town of Maimará in the Jujuy province. So typical for the landscape in the region, the mountains shimmer with brown, red, orange and yellow tones. This stunning kaleidoscope of colors makes one wonder: is Paleta del Pintor a God’s gift to humanity, or is it nature’s wonder? Although not as well-known as other locations in Jujuy, this geological formation is located along the route to other major attractions in the region and could be a great sightseeing stop or a hike for travelers heading toward Humahuaca, Tilcara or Purmamarca. Even a quick detour will be worth it!
