Martin Van Buren, the founder of the Democratic Party, purchased the home in 1839, while still the eighth president of the United States. Running two presidential campaigns from the estate, this house definitely holds a lot of history between the walls. Named after the Linden trees that surround the site, you will be able to find the beauty in the exterior as well as the interior of this beautiful estate.
