At about 10 meters high, Latas waterfall is far from the largest in the country, but it’s still one of the top destinations in the region. That’s because with the Latas waterfall, the journey matters as much as the destination. After paying the $2 entrance fee, it’s a 45 minute hike through the lush jungle to reach the falls. Most of the trail works its way alongside the stream that’s fed from the falls, and along the way you’ll find inviting swimming holes and even a natural slide where you can take a break. After the somewhat demanding hike, the picturesque waterfall is a welcome sight both for its beauty and the pool of water at its base where you can cool off.
