Krasiczyn Castle

The towers of this Renaissance masterpiece represent the upper echelon of the social hierarchy of the day.

Krasiczyn CastleTotem Towers

This Renaissance palace was built between 1592 and 1618 for the wealthy Krasicki family by Italian architect Galeazzo. At its heart, there’s a spacious, arcaded courtyard, decorated with Renaissance sgraffito depictions of Biblical scenes and Polish nobility. The four towers, are named after God, the pope, the king and the nobility, representing the upper crust of the social hierarchy. The God Tower, topped with a dome, houses a chapel, while the King Tower, with its conical roof and little turrets, lives up to its noble name. Visitors are welcome to roam the grounds, but to access the stunning interiors, including the chapel and crypt in the God tower, a guided tour in Polish is required. We recommend checking the castle’s schedule before your visit at https://www.krasiczyn.com.pl/en/castle-and-park/tour-of-castle
