Domaine Glinavos WineryNew Traditions
For much of its modern history, Greek wine-making was predominantly focused on large-scale production with little concern for quality. This began to change in the 1970s when Lefteris Glinavos and a few other young wine-makers travelled abroad for their vinicultural education, and launched their own boutique wineries on their return to Greece. Lefteris began Domaine Glinavos in 1978, where he combined local traditions with modern wine‐making techniques he learned in Bordeaux. A guided tour walk visitors through the estate, explaining the process of wine-making from vine to bottle, culminating in a tasting of the winery’s distinctive product. Please note, the winery is open to visitors Mon - Fri, 10:00 - 14:00.
