Two travel from Krakow to Vienna by train, your only option is to take one of the two night trains that leave from Krakow Glowny and takes you either to Wien Hbf or Flughafen Wien station in Vienna. The 450 km trip takes about 8 and a half hours, and costs around 50 EUR. There is one direct train and one with a stop, so if you choose the latter make sure you don’t sleep through your connection, and bring earplugs if you take the former! Trains have bathrooms on board, and usually offer a dining car.

To travel from Krakow to Vienna by bus, you have a few options. All busses leave Krakow from Dworzec Autobusowy station and go to all the major bus stations in Vienna: Wien Erdberg, Wien Blechturmgasse, Flughafen Wien, and Wien Südtiroler Platz. A direct bus with no changes takes about 7 hours and will cost you anywhere from 26 to 52 EUR. You can purchase your ticket online at any of the three major bus operators, Flixbus, Regiojet, and Leo Express. Flixbus and Regiojet offer direct service from Krakow to Vienna, but if you choose Leo Express you’ll need to change busses at least once along the way.
